Some of my favorite things...

During the first quarter of my earth and space class we researched and created presentations on various related topics. By far my 3 favorite of all of them were Amir's presentation on Inner-space cavern which was pretty factual and entertaining and relevant as it talked about a nearby and relate-able place coupled with first hand descriptions of the caverns. My second favorite presentation was "The fault in our lines- Deep Sea Trench Edition" which was great as it talked about a more obscure topic than many of the others and tied into our lesson plan quite well as they discussed the Mariana Trench, it's plate boundary, it's location and its many sea creatures. Finally my 3rd favorite topic presentation was "The Grand Canyon" which took a new angle on an old, iconic land form. It talked about the different types of rocks found there, how long ago it formed, who discovered it and the types of organisms that live there.
