Telescopes: a new view

Over the past few weeks we learned about some different kinds of telescopes. Of the ones that we learned about my favorite three have to be: the Atacama telescope, Hubble telescope, and the
Giant Magellan Telescope.

Firstly the Atacama telescope is my favorite, not only because it was my assigned telescope but it is actually really cool the way that it is actually a bunch on dishes that all work together in the Atacama Desert of Chile. This Telescope has the ability to map out inferred signals from the stars. With that being said it is a interferometer.

Next The Hubble Telescope named after Edwin Hubble, a brilliant astronomer who's theories about the galaxies were proved long after he came up with them. Although it was a pain to get into orbit, it allowed astronomers to gaze into the deeper part that no man had seen before that point, by capturing wavelengths.

Finally the Giant Magellan telescope, also located in the Atacama Desert, is a massive new telescope that will use mirrors to revive optic signals from space allowing for mapping of distant celestial bodies that were before now way to far for any other telescope to get a clear image of.
